cw: pedophilia, child sexual abuse, transphobia
I’m seeing bad arguments used against Prostatia.
Prostatia is morally compromised. At best they have well-meaning former child sexual abusers in their close orbit, at worst they are knowingly providing cover to such people with no regard for actually reducing harm.
Although many advocacy groups change language and encourage us to challenge our preconceptions, they take it far. Their spokesperson seems to have trouble saying things like “adults shouldn’t have sex with children” and instead twists things into obtuse euphemisms like “underage people trading sex”.
Toys is one of the best movies ever made. Its visual design is apparently inspired by the hyper-real, surreal art of René Magritte. Unlike a Magritte painting, everything in Toys could physically happen. But nobody would spend so lavishly to make the sets of Toys come to life unless they were making a movie.
Toys was a 100 million dollar flop in today’s dollars, and the budget shows.
Despised by critics and almost equally hated by IMDb voters, Toys is more relevant today than ever.
American Revolution 2 documents the activist conditions of 1968 Chicago. The first 30 minutes are a bit slow, but the rest is electrifying. It shows how the Black Panther Party united with a poor white group, the Young Patriots Organization.

The groups unite and talk about common issues: police brutality, rent and slums, jobs, education.
I’ve posted in the past about getting my watchlist to zero. It was growing with no signs of slowing. There are only 3 ways a watchlist will change:
A movie is added to the watchlist A movie is watched and removed from the watchlist A movie is deleted from the watchlist without watching it By keeping this in mind, I cut my watchlist in half. Even better, I was choosy with what I watched.
